Expect consequences

There are consequences to everything that we do - good or bad. Many people live in a world that they have created in their heads where there are no consequences to their actions. The best example of this is a comment thread on social media. It is the pit of humanity. Some of the things that are said there should not be repeated, and many people who make those comments would never say them in person, because of the fear of consequences.

That is the mistake many people make when the consequences are bad and/or far off. We remove it from our minds. It becomes something that we don’t have to worry about, but guess what, every shitty behaviour adds up, every negative thing that you do adds to the chain. It builds momentum and before you know it, the collective actions makes you an incapable shitty representation of what it means to be a human being. But just as the negatives can add up and have consequences, so does the positive. The more consistent positive things that you do can add up in a good way and make life better.

The worst thing you can do is distance your actions from consequence. Do things and expect consequences! They might be good, they might be bad, but they are there. Whether you like it or not, whether you perceive it or not, they are there. The things you say to someone might not affect you, but they affect the person you say it to. It could be in a good way or in a bad way, but it has an effect. That is something that we should never forget. Consequences are always there. It applies to training, what you eat, the work that you do, your interactions with people, everything. All actions have consequences.

What you do today has an effect. Do something today that has a positive effect for you and for others.
